Ideas for Xmas Gifts is part of a mini-series with thoughts, tips and suggestions on the art of gift giving. If you don't know what to get, we can help. What’s more, we’ll share some do’s and don’ts to make the task a whole lot easier!

If you take the time to look at our Christmas gift ideas for women you’ll realize that finding the perfect gift for the Holiday season can be lots of fun. For some people, though, it’s a daunting experience but it really doesn’t have to be that way. And, you know the decades old saying, “It’s the thought that counts.”

Nowadays, because Christmas shopping is so commercialized, nothing is more appreciated than a gift that is home made or handmade. How about sharing your very own BBQ sauce or fruit cake? Some organic, artisan cheeses? An unusual necklace by a local craftsman? A framed photo you took? A song you recorded?  The ideas are limitless!

"There is no happiness in having or in getting, but only

in giving." Henry Drummond, Canadian poet.

Our ideas for Xmas gifts will make your office gift exchange choices so much easier

We’ve included some tips on do’s and don’ts to help keep the Christmas spirit alive.

  • Do give because you want to, not because you feel obliged to, or because you expect something in return.
  • Do plan ahead. Do a little research…particularly useful for work-related Christmas gift exchange ideas. Give yourself time and avoid all that last minute stress.
  • Don’t allow the gift to reach the recipient later than Christmas Day, especially if either of you will be traveling to stay with family or friends.
  • Don’t insist the person open the gift immediately. They may prefer to do so at another time or in private.
  • Do be polite and accept the gift you are given and never hurt the other person’s feelings by showing disappointment if it didn’t meet your expectations.

There are many different ways to celebrate. Give a gift with a personal touch.

If you found the above tips and suggestions on the art of gift giving useful for researching Xmas gifts, please take a look at more information we have prepared regarding other important dates on the calendar. Some of these include birthdays, Valentines Day, Mothers Day, graduations and gifts for the teacher. Links to these pages are to the left, under the heading Occasions To Give as well as at the very bottom of this page.

We’d also like to take this opportunity and invite you to take a look at some of the charities we are supporting. In the left hand column you can click on the appropriate links under the Help A Cause heading. And, because we believe in providing great up-to-date, quality information, we are constantly adding pages about topics related directly to the work they do.

Under the heading Glass - Our Medium we include a brief history of glass and glass making techniques since this is the material we use for our own exclusive pendant designs. Fascinating reading. Do take a look.

For a quick glance at our fundraising glass pendants, you’ll find them arranged in themes under the heading Pendants Pop.  We currently show hearts, animals, nature and stars, with more coming soon. You’ll be able to appreciate the creative process involved in designing them since each group has a close connection to the non-profit it supports. Many are one-of-a-kind and can only be acquired here.

And, of course, you can view our complete collection of pendants together on a single page in our Gift Catalog, which is under the heading Shop. We hope you will be inspired. After all, the slogan which forms part of our logo is our goal: “every pendant, every time, helps a cause.”
